I refer to your letter of the 26th June concerning the cost of four Bangor minesweepers being built for the Admiralty in Hong Kong.

We are gratified to learn that the Colony are prepared to undertake the cost of all four ships in accordance with their original offer and we shall have no objection to your suggestion that you should express H.M. Government's appreciation of this patriotic gesture.
